The Perfect Fit For Your Bucket Hat

Tilley bucket hats are designed to sit comfortably low on the head. The proper fit will be slightly loose, as gravity will keep your Tilley in place. If weather picks up, the unique strap design will keep it there, no matter which way the wind blows. It can blow from the front, back or sides and your bucket hat will remain comfortably on your head. Now in extreme cases, Mother Nature might have other plans so the buoyant T1 is easily recaptured and packed away for when she’s done playing around.

Here’s are three easy steps for the most comfortable fit for your bucket hat:

  1. Wrap a string around the widest part of your head, located 1 to 2 cm above the top of your ears and brow line.
  2. Determine the measurement with a ruler, then add 2 cm to the total, for comfort. Tilley hats don’t need to squeeze your head to stay on thanks to our unique strapping system.
  3. Convert that final measurement into your hat size in the chart below.
