Quilted Bucket Hat

Pleased with the quality, fabric and design of this hat. It is a holiday gift and I am sure my husband will enjoy it!

I expected the hat to be thicker, don’t know how it will fare against Quebec winters! It’s fashionable but I wanted to wear it when walking the dog in under five degree weather…

I am disappointed in the thickness and overall coverage of the ear covers… they are a cm or two too short and don’t rest against the ears. I have already taken to wearing a winter headband underneath to keep my ears warm. I dont have this problem with other Tilley products.

I measured my head and followed sizing chart but the hat is slightly too small. This slight tightness works in my favour under windy conditions and it is not so tight that it doesn’t fit over the headband, so I won’t exchange it. Especially since the top hat aspect fits properly on my head and I fear a larger size might be “too top hat” to wear. And since they closed their brick and mortars I can’t actually decide without trying it on. Having said all that I really like it!

I've been looking for something to replace the usual baseball caps or toques that I usually wear in the winter. I've never tried a Tilley before and when I saw this Quilted Bucket Hat, I thought it was right for me. A great fit, just the right size of brim, fold-down ear warmers and filled with a light-weight down to keep my ever balding head warm through Canadian winters. Thanks Tilley for having great options, an excellent website and speedy service!
