Machine wash delicate or hand wash cold. Use mild detergent. Do not use softeners or bleach. Remove windcord and foam from crown pocket before washing. Reshape and air dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.
Some Tilley hats are Guaranteed for Life against normal wear and tear, imperfect workmanship, or faulty material. If your hat experiences any of these issues, please submit your request by selecting and completing the “Guaranteed for Life” form below. Next steps will be provided within 5-7 business days.
Only hats with the designated “Guaranteed for Life” label will be considered for replacement. Customers must provide photos to identify the eligibility of the item, as well as proof of destruction of the item upon request once approval is granted. All qualifying replacements are subject to a non-waivable handling fee.

Packages sent without prior authorization will be refused and returned to sender at the shipper’s cost. Processing times may vary due to increased volumes in peak seasons and are contingent on the provision of all required information from the customer. The hemp dyes very well. My daughter used an ice bath dye process. This is the second one. The first one was accidentally left at a restaurant in saugerties NY and someone took it, even though my contact info was in it along with my brag tags that did not come with my second one. Different color schemes on both. Love the hat
Had my hat now for over 10 years and while a bit faded it’s still in great condition, as a locomotive driver in Australia it’s become an essential part of my PPE and it’s comfortable whether it’s stinking hot or pissing down.
Purchased around 2008 and still being used in 2024, although it does have a substantial amount of “patina”

I love my Tilley TH5. It has kept me cool for the summer, temperatures have soared here lately. Big adventure coming up; taking the Tilley to Europe. I love the fact it is packable and the next 3 weeks this hat will see a lot of sun and action.
